Joelle Karam is an integrative physiotherapist, specializing in performance optimization in sport and daily activities, and offering tools for injury prevention and efficient recovery. Joelle graduated with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto. Prior to that she received a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) Degree from McMaster University. She is a Neurofunctional Sports Performance Practitioner and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Joelle is a clinical educator with the University of Toronto Physical Therapy Program and instructs at the McMaster Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program.
Joelle understands that the human body is complex and each individual is unique. She has worked in clinic, in training facilities and on the sidelines with amateur and professional athletes, specifically with ice hockey, basketball, rugby and track. She uses her extensive continuing education and professional experience to offer a distinctive combination of treatment techniques including functional core training, Contemporary Medical Acupuncture, and soft tissue mobilization, working one on one with her clients to optimize results.
